Product availability

We strive to have products in stock and ready to ship when you order, however some of our items are hand-made, artisan products and may take longer to arrive. If an item is unavailable we will provide you with the date that we expect to ship that product. Most orders ship within 3 to 4 business days by Fed Ex ground and usually arrive in 3-7 business days . Please be aware that Kan Thai Decor is not able to offer expedited (same day) shipping. 

Ordering from outside the U.S.

At present Kan Thai Decor ships free ground freight to addresses within the 48 contiguous USA.

New as of 2016  Thai customers may place orders for shipment in parts of Thailand.  See more


Shipping Charges

Kan Thai Decor is able to offer Free Fed Ex or UPS ground freight shipping within the 48 contiguous Untied States. Orders placed by credit card must ship to the credit card address. We do not ship to PO Boxes.

Shipping outside the U.S. or to APO/FPO addresses.

At present Kan Thai Decor does not ship to addresses outside of the contiguous U.S.A. We also do not ship to APO/FPO addresses.


Our guarantee

We regret that items will not be returned unless there is a shipment error or manufacturing defect, this is true for custom orders as well. This does not include shipping damages and shipping errors.

All of our Thai import products are natural and hand made. Therefore sizes are just an approximation but are generally within plus or minus a 1/4" .

We can not guarantee the products are perfectly square or flat as that is not the look we desire. Instead we create usable and reasonably flat surfaces while high lighting the natural wood inclusions and natural hand carved surfaces.


Photos are a representation of our products and not a photo of the item you will receive. We send the same product. However, not the one in the photo.

We do not fill in or repair carving marks, or natural inclusions (knots, branch growths, natural splits) instead we sand to blend them in and assure smooth edges and surfaces to the best of our ability. On some products we will use the same wood to fill old worm holes and such.

For panels carved from several pieces, the wood shrinks as it dries. Then when the panels are put back together they do not always line up exactly. We sand to blend the design joint as well as possible.There will be some slight variances where the joint of two panels are joined.The wood is from a tropical climate, and like all wood, is still "alive". It will change some over time based on your climate, and whether you place the piece in direct sunlight, or by a heating or cooling source. Small cracks may appear but this is normal and will stop occurring over time.Of course, if a major crack develops that threatens the structural integrity of the product, we will allow an exchange

Items are natural products, some variations occur, which make them unique. Depending on the country of origin of a tree, the heart wood color ranges from light reddish beige to dark reddish browns (sometimes with black swirls). Due to humidity, the wood ages and some small cracks appear in the grain over time depending on where you live. It's a little piece of life transported straight into your home. Direct sunlight can cause more checking on the ends (cracking), but simply rub in a wood preservative or wax to seal again and enjoy the beauty of one-of-a-kind piece! These are not acceptable reasons for a return.The color, after finish is applied, will vary from the pictures depicted for every single piece. This is because the oil is the same tone but the color of the underlying wood of the piece it is going on varies.

If you are truly not satisfied we will allow a product return within three days of delivery as long as:

1. You first e‐mail your reason(s), foregoing the above, within the three days, to  stating the product and the reason(s) you wish to return or exchange the piece. A digital photo would be a tremendous help to explain a problem

The piece has never been used, is placed back in the original packaging and cartons

3. There is a 20% restocking fee to cover the associated costs of inspection, repackaging and shipping. This may be waived for a structural return.

Shipping Errors and Damages

If your order arrived damaged, refuse the order with the shipping carrier upon attempted delivery for obvious damage. For hidden damage you will need to file a claim with the shipping company, which we will assist with. Also, your assistance in providing photographs and/or other evidence is much appreciated and will help expedite a solution. If a packing error occurred, please contact us and we will let you know what to do next. If a replacement item is in stock, we will ship it to you immediately; your credit card will be charged for the second shipment, but you will be credited for the original item including delivery and handling once the return has been processed. Canceling an order

To cancel an order of a back ordered item, please contact us at 1 785 727 1272. Please note that some back ordered items will ship prior to the date stated in the shopping cart when you checkout. Kan Thai Decor cannot cancel an order for any item after the item has been picked for shipping.

How to return merchandise

Kan Thai Decor will arrange for a Fed Ex or UPS call tag for the return of items.


Please allow one billing cycle for a credit card refund to appear on your statement. Refunds on shipping and handling are credited only when an item is incorrectly shipped or arrives defective or damaged.
